Matthew Iarussi

Matt Iarussi fell in love with the food industry while selling fresh Seafood for 5 years. During his time in the food industry, he observed a need for fresh micro-greens grown and distributed locally. Studying the market and the industry helped design his first grow space where he founded Greens Above Ground, an urban micro farm that functions 24 hours a day 12 months a year.

Taking seasonality out of the equation, and allowing for New England based chefs to use the flavor they want to use anytime of the year, has been a major focus of Matt's.

Flavor, color, texture, and perfection in the growing of over 30 varieties of micro-greens, is what Greens Above Ground prides themselves on.
